  • Why now? Why this theme?

  • Laura is an Associate Professor at Michigan State University and work in Systems Change. She has an exciting kickoff for our day around the Status of Women, Women & Work, Leaning in versus Leaning out, burnout, and how women are really advancing in terms of gender equity and freedom.

  • Listen to Kayti discuss the pull and push of making space for the self amidst an operating system designed to have us focus on production, performing, and conforming.

  • Workshop with your fellow Athena attendees and take a moment to reflect.

  • Reva Patwardhan from Greater Good Coaching will lead us in a workshop exploring how we can all lead while also addressing imposter syndrome, leading with authentic confidence, and strategies for overcoming burnout culture.

  • MORE TO COME

  • Were bringing back the popular Birds of a Feather style metal, this time over a leisurely lunch. Choose a topic that you are called to right now, connect with new friends, and enjoy each other’s company and perspective over a longer working lunch on this subject. Topics will include:

    • Calendar Architecture: Are you prioritizing your life, or is someone else? Discuss how you manage your calendar, the flow of your day, morning and evening routines and rituals, and explore how your tablemates make space in their calendar for what matters most.

    • Setting Boundaries

    • Building your Board of Advisors

    • Getting Unstuck: how to know when its time for a change and how to navigate change

    • Leadership in a permacrisis

    • Mothering & Work: how to make work work for you

    • Hacking Life: sharing your favorite hacks and go-to tips for making space in your life.

  • Get ready for a powerful afternoon!

  • Women, Money, and Power. What would it look like if you felt great about your financial power?

This is a working session on your financial health presented by Kim Shappee & RBC Wealth Management

  • Originally intended as "Make Space for Creativity," we discovered a more crucial theme to delve into with our esteemed panelists. When sharing our work with the world, we face a choice: conforming to the familiar and safe path or embracing our uniqueness, which can be intimidating. Our signature, whether as an artist, community leader, or founder, is what truly leaves a lasting impact. But how do we achieve this? Join us for an intriguing discussion; you wouldn't want to miss it.

  • Time for drinks, snacks, and movement - take a beat.

  • When considering health, our focus often revolves around our physical bodies and the routines we maintain or neglect to keep them in shape. Additionally, there is a wealth of new scientific knowledge emerging about health, which can be both exciting and overwhelming for many. The abundance of podcasts, various metrics to track, and the pressure to see multiple practitioners can add to this feeling of overwhelm.

Hear from a Functional Medicine Specialist, a Spiritual and Energy Healer, and a Physical Therapist on how to make sense of it all.

  • A quiet moment for your reflections from the day.

  • let’s wrap up this amazing day!

FRIDAY
OCTOBER 13TH

  • OPTION 1:
Group Run led by a local lovely rad woman

    OPTION 2:
A morning musical Yoga Flow with Athena’s own Sara Close

  • Reflections from Day 1 and Prompts. Special guests: Quentin Robinson, Sara McMahon

  • On Day 1, we focus on making space internally, covering aspects like health, finances, creativity, and personal narrative. But as we transition from introspection to outward exploration, how does that dynamic change? How do we present ourselves as leaders within our community, both to ourselves and to others? This shift challenges us to consider how we engage and connect with our community, making a profound impact on our leadership journey.

  • Marguerite Jimenez and Ty Miranda discuss what civic engagement looks like for each of us. Partly about community, and partly about our role in it… how do we come together to create lasting change?

  • Three Women Leaders, from the front lines, on how they lead their Organizations and their mission-driven work with hope. Announcing these speakers soon- they are fierce and doing big global work.

  • Our time has come to a close for this year but we hope you take this time to explore Bozeman and spend time reconnecting.
