MEG WHICHER
For the past 14 years, Meg Whicher has poured her energy and enthusiasm into public service, tackling broad community issues around access to childcare, quality recreation programming, and equity. She believes that strong relationships are the foundation of meaningful work—and in the power of saying “yes.” Her approach centers on dreaming big and trusting in what children are capable of.
Meg’s work has included launching and facilitating Montana’s first full-service public community school, expanding trail access, and advancing equity in recreation programs. Beyond her professional role, she is a devoted parent to Huck (who lives up to his adventurous name), a two-term MCPS School Board Trustee, and an extroverted partner to an introverted spouse.
Her daily life reflects her commitment: often carrying three changes of clothes so she can move seamlessly from presenting at city council, to helping a child in crisis on a playground, to teaching three-year-olds how to ski, before heading into a school board meeting.
